"La Fondazione Santa Lucia IRCCS è un Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico specializzato in neuroscienze e neuroriabilitazione. Accanto all’attività di ricerca, è sede di Corsi di Laurea e di Specializzazione in collaborazione con le Università di Roma Tor Vergata e Sapienza. Il suo Ospedale è dotato di 325 posti letto di neuroriabilitazione di alta specialità che, in convenzione con il SSN, garantiscono cure a pazienti colpiti da gravi esiti di ictus cerebrale, coma, traumi cranici e lesioni del midollo spinale. Presso la Fondazione sono in cura più di 200 bambini affetti da gravi cerebrolesioni e malattie rare. La produzione scientifica del settore Ricerca registra una media di 2.000 punti di impact factor."
