"行政院衛生署雲林醫院於2004年4月1日起成為臺大醫院雲林分院，位於雲林縣斗六市，醫院建物包含醫療大樓、急診大樓、復健大樓及精神衛生大樓，設有心導管、電腦斷層掃描、血管攝影及磁振掃描等重大儀器設備，在臺大醫院專業醫療團隊進駐後，已陸續完成各式心導管治療、開心手術、腹腔鏡手術等重大醫療服務，為雲林地區唯一通過「區域教學醫院」評鑑之醫院。 為滿足地方醫療需求，臺大醫院雲林分院虎尾院區於2007年9月正式啟用，與斗六院區相距約15公里，車程約20分鐘，以腫瘤醫學治療為該院區之發展重點，除設有放射腫瘤治療設備、影醫與核醫等檢查設備之外，亦設立門診化療區、腫瘤專屬病床等專屬空間，2008年更成立腫瘤醫學中心，提供各式腫瘤醫療服務。 目前雲林分院兩院區已擁有940餘床之規模，並有約1,500餘名之專任員工，未來將持續以健康守護為使命，致力提昇醫療及服務品質，期望成為彰、雲、嘉地區民眾最信賴與愛戴之醫學中心。"
