"The Johns Hopkins Center for Immunization Research facilitates the development of new vaccines and expands research activities in vaccine development, evaluation and policy. The Center is currently conducting clinical trials for COVID-19 investigational vaccines. Since its founding by Dr. Mary Lou Clements-Mann in 1985, the CIR has been dedicated to the advancement of vaccine research for infectious diseases. Some of our partners include the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Defense (DOD) as well as private sector sponsors to conduct phase I, II and III clinical trials for infectious agents like COVID-19, RSV, Dengue, ETEC, Ebola, Zika, Malaria, HMPV, West Nile, Avian Flu, HIV and HPV."
